Women’s Social Morning hosted by Thursday Ladies Group

The Thursday Ladies Club would like to invite all women of all ages to their open morning on May 9th in Tubbercurry Family Resource Centre @10.30am. This group offers a social outlet to women in the area. The group meet weekly for a cuppa and a chat as well as various activities such as; arts and crafts, women’s health talks, creative writing. The group have a wish list for 2013/2014 which includes horticulture, keep fit, baking, flower arranging and much more. The open morning is a chance for ladies in the area to feed into this wish list and to see what the group is all about. All are very welcome to attend.

Connect Hearing – Hearing Awareness Talk

An informative talk delivered by Connect Hearing will take place in the Family Resource Centre on Wednesday 24th April at 7pm.The aim of the session is to highlight the importance of how hearing affects you and the people around you. The talk/presentation will takes approximately 45 minutes, with some time allowed afterwards for questions. If anyone has problems with their hearing and would like it tested arrangements can be made to have it done another day either in their homes or in Deirdre Cooke’s Opticians, Stephen’s Street, Sligo.

Counselling Services

The FRC are offering Marriage /Relationship counselling, Bereavement counselling and Person Centred counselling. The service is carried out by fully qualified Counsellors and is available on a Monday afternoon / evening and a Wednesday morning. The service is confidential and offered on a sliding scale fee.
