Rainbows Programme
Following the success of our last two programmes we are now looking to recruit additional volunteer leaders. Training is normally over the course of a weekend with venue and dates to be confirmed, all volunteers are required to undergo an interview and garda vetting for more details contact Conor Fitzgerald 9186926.
Woman to Woman
Tubbercurry FRC in conjunction with the National Screening Service will be running an information and training day on May 28th on CervicalCheck and BreastCheck. The aim of the day is to provide women with the information and skills to spread the message about both these services to other women in there lives. Members of the FRC women’s network will be attending the training which is open to all women living in and around Tubbercurry. Women’s Social Morning hosted by Thursday Ladies Group
The Thursday Ladies Club would like to invite all women of all ages to their open morning on May 9th in Tubbercurry Family Resource Centre @10.30am-12.30. This group offers a social outlet to women in the area. The group meet weekly for a cuppa and a chat as well as various activities such as; arts and crafts, women’s health talks, creative writing. The group have a wish list for 2013/2014 which includes horticulture, keep fit, baking, flower arranging and much more. The open morning is a chance for ladies in the area to feed into this wish list and to see what the group is all about. All are very welcome to attend.
Want 2 Walk
As part of the Want to Walk Project Tubbercurry FRC in association with Sligo Sport and Recreation Partnership is organising a series of leisure walks on Wednesday mornings commencing on May15th for people who have some free time and an interest in getting active. Walking is free, friendly, fun and good for our health. More details on routes times etc will be available in the coming weeks.
