About Us

Tubbercurry Family and Childcare Resource House Project CLG (Tubbercurry Family and Childcare Resource Centre) was established in 1998 by eight volunteers from the local community. The idea of setting up a Family Resource Centre came about because of identified needs within Tubbercurry and the surrounding areas to provide a range of needs led, accessible and affordable family support, childcare and education services.

In 2000 the Board established a community crèche for 12 children in the Old Boys’ School (the current site of today’s centre).

In 2004 funding was applied for and received from the Family Support Agency which led to the opening of the Family Resource Centre.

Today, we are fortunate to have a purpose built building where both parts of the service are based.  Under the guidance and governance of the Voluntary Board of Management staff continue to respond to the growing and changing needs of the local community.
