Whats on !!

New services offered by Tubbercurry Family Resource Centre.

Tubbercurry FRC is working in conjunction with Sligo Lend a Hand service. The Lend a Hand programme provides services to vulnerable and older people in their homes, supporting them in their desire to maintain their independence and increased their comfort and safety. The service involves volunteers giving of their time to help with small jobs around the house. Some of the more common jobs include:  cleaning and tidying, set heating timers, safety measures such as installation of locks, door chains and bolts, small paint jobs, minor repairs, installing curtain rails, light gardening work and so on. We would like to build up a bank of volunteers who would be willing to do some of these tasks. The service is designed to have a maximum of 3 visits to the household to help address the concern for the householder. Volunteers may be used two to three times a year and the services will be provided at times and days that suit them. If you have some free time and are interested in becoming a volunteer or if you want to find out more about how the services can help you please contact the Family Resource Centre on 071 918 6926
