Better Ireland Awards

We have been shortlisted for the AIB Better Ireland Awards and in order to be successful we are asking for your support by voting for us . To vote by text: text TUBBER followed A to 51303. To vote online, click on www.betterireland.ie choose Sligo, AIB branch Tubbercurry, and Tubbercurry Family Resource House Project. If we are successful the funding awarded will be used to purchase equipment for youth and children programmes in Tubbercurry and surroundings areas.

Playground

As you may have noticed over the last few weeks the community playground has had a facelift with new swings being put in place and new ground cover being spread. We would like to thank the local Fas CE scheme and the Chamber of Commerce for their support for this project.The playground is designed for children aged 12 and under and will be open to the public from 10am to 7pm daily.

Meet and Train
Tubbercurry FRC are facilating  a  training program to help you get fit with a view to taking part walk\jog in mini marathon . Training will take place on Thursday evenings commencing on 11th March at 6.45pm meeting point Tubbercurry FRC.

Beginners Computer Classes
Due to the continued success of our beginners computers classes  we are now taking names for a new morning  class to commence March  The course is for 6 weeks and will include Computer basics, Word, Internet and email.  Cost of course is €50. For more details contact the centre.

French Classes
Conversational french for beginners commencing on Tuesday 9th March at 7pm in the Centre.

Kiddies Craft
The Kiddies Craft workshop will take place on Saturday 13th March at 11am – 12.30pm  in Tubbercurry FRC Childcare. The workshop caters for children aged 7 and under and the theme for this month is St. Patrick’s Day. Place are limited.

Mother Baby Group
A new group for mothers and their infants met for the first time last week. The group will continue to meet informally in the New Year in the FRC Childcare facility. The group will be meeting on Wednesday January 27th at 2.00pm. All mums are welcome and anyone who wants a little more information can contact the centre.

Nought to Sixes Parenting Programme

This programme offers effective parenting support to parents of babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers and children in early years of primary school. This programme will be available in the New Year for parents. and will run for six weeks. This programme is not paper or information intensive, it is interactive and enjoyable.
